The most important sea turtle sanctuary in Sinaloa, where every year more than 80% of the eggs give life to new turtles.
Our sanctuary is dedicated to protecting the Olive Ridley sea turtle that nests along the shores of Playa Isla de la Piedra, preserving its natural habitat for future generations.
From September to November, witness one of nature's most moving spectacles: the moment when baby turtles begin their journey to the ocean. Each program includes a short educational talk, followed by the release, lasting approximately an hour and a half.
The Sanctuary also welcomes schools, families and visitors to take part in talks and workshops that inspire and teach about the importance of caring for marine life.
